to get our referral!!!!!!
I had an early morning meeting, and they tried to get me during that. Adam had gotten a round of shots in preparation for the trip, and was in the drive thru getting breakfast after a night working when they reached him. I left the meeting to seeing my cell phone blown up and work phone blown up with the same number, and alongside that Adam’s number, and a message from the receptionist to call him ASAP. Hmmm. Wonder what that can be.
We raced up to Children’s Hope where Sharon presented us with the two most beautiful kids we have ever seen - a boy and a girl. We have not officially accepted the referral, but we will. It’s a given. Our names are on the book with the kids’ info and pictures. That means they are ours, right?
My immediate family and his immediate family now know. I’m at his parents’ typing this as we speak - I promised I would tell everyone as soon as they know. Pursuant to Ethiopian law, I can not disclose any identifying information in an electronic format until the adoption is approved in court - which will be in approximately 4-6 weeks. However, if you see me, I can share pictures.
The third trimester is starting. Lots to do to get ready.
Thank you, everyone, for all your support and prayers the last couple years. We would not have gotten through it all without you and them. We are blessed with the best support system. I’m also thanking you in advance for all your support and prayers for the next few months while we prepare to bring our children home.
Praise God!
