We’re doing absolutely nothing, and loving it. How often do we get a 3 day weekend together without one of us taking a vacation day! We only got up just a few minutes ago. Might as well enjoy being able to do that as long as we can.
Got fingerprinted by the Department of Homeland Security on Tuesday. The rest of our paperwork for the dossier is just about together. Slowly but surely…
Bought the first stuff for the kids’ room. Got these animal prints from Home Interiors, along with a monkey clock - his tail is a pendulum.
After getting fingerprinted on Tuesday, I took the rest of the afternoon off and we looked at motorcycles for Adam. Right now, he’s spending over $400 a month in gas for the truck, which is paid off. Doing the math with the motorcycle he liked, payments, insurance, and gas comes to considerably less than that each month. It’s a savings we see almost immediately. Looking at it that way, I’m real cool with it. I’m just concerned about the safety aspect, and the praticality of it when we have the kids. We’ll figure something out, I’m sure. He’s still not 100% sure he wants one, so he’s going to do the weekend course to get licensed, and will decide then.
